Update: we had two great nights of hockey, the coaches took it to the parents in the first game, but the parents retaliated in the second, though there were some rostering "irregularities", the word "ringer" was heard more than once.
We raised $110 for MDMHA and gathered quite a bit of food for the Millbrook Food Share.
Last year I (Glen Hunter) ran a fundraiser for Millbrook Minor Hockey where we played a series of games pitting the parents of MDMHA players against the rostered coaching staff of MDMHA teams. I'm pleased to announce that the new season of Parents vs. Coaches games starts December 23rd at 7:30pm. The next game will be December 30th at 7:30pm. There will be other pickup games through the rest of the year where I can get ice, with a final Parents vs. Coaches fund-raising night in March.
The December games are pickup, full equipment, and limited to the first 30 people who sign up. Cost is $10 per player with all profit going to MDMHA. To sign-up for the pickup games please see me at the rink, call me: (705) 277-2177, or drop me an email:
Spectators are welcome to attend. We ask that all spectators bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Millbrook Food Bank.
